Job description
Zander Labs is a leader in neuroadaptive technology, pioneering innovative solutions to enhance human-computer interaction. We are embarking on Project NAFAS, a landmark 30 million EUR initiative set to revolutionize the field.
We are looking for a knowledgeable, precise-yet-creative intern from the field of experimental psychology, human factors, or cognitive science (or related), to help us design and evaluate experimental paradigms in the context of passive brain-computer interfacing (passive BCI). Among other things, Project NAFAS aims to understand and decode meaningful cognitive and affective processes that can be detected using EEG. As such, the successful candidate will explore both known and novel mental processes, and help design corresponding elicitation paradigms.
In this position, you will assist with the following tasks:
- Exploring and evaluating known mental processes and mental process elicitation paradigms.
- Designing elicitation paradigms from scratch to discover and target novel mental processes.
- Utilising insights gained from EEG analyses to improve paradigms.
- Researching, compiling, and summarising relevant literature.
Job requirements
- Degree or relevant experience in (experimental/cognitive) psychology, human factors, cognitive science, or similar
- Demonstrable experience in experimental design to elicit neural correlates
- Demonstrable experience with EEG data acquisition
- Experience with passive BCI or mental state detection is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
